Greg Johnson tells of a story of a minister who falls asleep and dreams of a life with out Jesus, a life with out hope, a life without comfort.
Then we are told of the tiny gift came down to us on that first Christmas so many years ago. A gift that changed lives for all eternity. A gift that brought hope and peace. A gift that we cannot imagine giving ourselves - giving up my child and knowing that he was to suffer for all mankind.
Think about all of your traditions and Christian symbols in your life....what would life be like with out them?
What would you miss most about Jesus if he never existed? What quality? Word of Comfort? Word of Truth? What story would you miss most?
Let's rejoice singing one of my favorite Christmas songs....
Oh come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant.
O Oh come ye, O come ye to Bethlehem!
Come and Behold Him, born the King of angels.,
O come let us adore Him, Christ the Lord!
Let us rejoice Him this season! Let us be glad that He has come.
Let us rejoice and be glad we have the gift of Jesus this Christmas!
I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord"
Luke 2:120-11
