It's been a rough week for my curly

It has been a rough week for my Curly boy!  Not only did he pull a ticket on Wed. for talking, he pulled another ticket on Thurs. during P.E. for not being in the right line during their running time.  Then, we were told his hair is too long!  I was devastated - I love those curly locks!  I guess that's the give and take of sending your kids to a christian school- they need to look clean cut and respectable!  Luckily I worked it out that we can leave the long locks until picture day, then off to the stylist we will have to go!  Poor guy...he went on a special date with daddy today to Yogurtland along with Sugarbear (the class bear that gets to come home with each kid).  Poor guy..he's had a rough week learning the rules of kindergarten!

NOOOOoooooo! Not the curls!

Oh man. Now I'm bummed. No caffeine for 48 hours and now your Curly has to cut his curls. What is a girl to do to keep her happy face on??

Oh --- and I don't drink coffee before a run. Usually. But one time I did after reading a Runner's World article about how loooooooong distance runners will eat a whole pizza or drink an entire Coke as a boost. It was actually the best run mentally and physically I've had. Now, I don't recommend it as a matter of course. It was a one time deal.
(Maybe.)

Saturday night...
I just sent you an email.

Did you receive it?
Please let me know...

Thanks!

OK, since i know for sure you won't receive an email I sent, here is what I sent to 'noreply' (I'm quick like that, yes indeed...)

I'm headed off to get some zzzzzzz's before the freak show in the morning ---- Ike is right over the bottom of the state as we speak (or I type --- whatever). I've been thinking all day, though, that I hadn't responded to your idea of running together some day. You are so sweet (big sugar drippy voice). (Replace with real-life voice) you would kick my pants! I've seen a few of your splits. You'd be dragging me across the finish line with a tow hitch by the end if I tried to keep up with you! You rock! I'm truly enjoying our cross country (computer) friendship! But I'll have to train A WHOLE LOT HARDER to even attempt to keep up in a race one day. For now, just wish me luck in "heavy rain and strong winds." I think tomorrow will just be about survival. And finishing.

God Bless,
~k
