Seeing God's Wonder.....

I am in Santa Barbara visiting my sister this week. She has milkweed and lots of monarch butterflies that come and lay their eggs. The life cycle of the caterpillar - egg, caterpillar, chrysillis, butterfly-is an amazing sight to see if you are lucky enough. Well, while here my children are seeing God's wonderful creation first hand. Check out what we have seen in the past day and a half:

Baby Monarch on a milkweed leaf:

This is a picture of the monarch caterpillar as it prepares to change into a chrysalis

Here is the caterpillar midway through metamorphisis - you can still see the stripes:

And, here he is completely done...this is from just a few minutes ago....

In 7 -10 days this beautiful chrysalis will be the most amazing Monarch Butterfly...wish I could be here to see that change too! I was so excited that my kids are seeing this, I had to post it!
