In a little less than an hour and a half one of my best friends, Alison, will start her 26.2 mile run in the 112th Boston Marathon. I will meet her at mile 20 to run up Heartbreak Hill and run with her to almost the finish line! I am so excited for her to be running this historic event! I will post photos from the weekend later...for now, a cheer for her: GO ALISON!
She is amazing! Alison ran the race in 3 hours, 27 min. I got to the 22 mile mark and ran to the 20 mile mark where I told Alison I would meet her. I got out there and ran with her from mile 20-25 and she was running so strong - I couldn't believe how great she was doing. I had to hop out of the course and met her at the Finish! She ran her best race and qualified to run next year's race again! I am so proud of her and how hard she has worked to achieve such an awesome goal!

wow!! what an accomplishment, and how fun that you were able to be a part of it! hope the trip was FANTASTIC. can't wait to hear all about it.
alison is so amazing, and what great friends you are to be there for her. dai, some day we can do it to !! :) ha ha!!!
It was so cool! Jenni and I am setting my sights on Boston..it was so cool - but not until I'm 35 (only a year and a half away)- that's when the qualifying time is 3:45 - that's feasible, right? She AMAZES me!
