Working towards his athletic goal...

This has been a tough year for us. Lots for me to post about, but right now I want to talk about this boy. JT has been on swim team for a year now. Last September he started swimming because his swim teacher always said he had potential to do amazing on a team. JT walked on the pool deck and felt right at home. He immediately fell in love with this sport and started doing amazing in his meets. He qualified for Junior Olympics and his relay team broke a team record for their age group! Then, my boy aged up a week before the JO's, so he couldn't swim in the summer Junior Olympics because he wasn't fast enough for the 11 year old qualifying time.

It's been a tough few months for my boy adjusting to competing against older boys. But, he is finally adjusting to the new expectations. He has been doing so well. Last weekend he earned 2 blue times for his breast stroke. He really wants to compete in the December Invitationals in Las Vegas. He is so close. He's been working so hard and wants it so badly. He will have one more chance on the 19th and 20th of this month. I'm so proud of my sweet boy who has found his sport and for his desire and dedication to succeed in it!

I am one proud mama watching him from the pool deck!
