I have been tagged by my girlfriend, Karen, I'm supposed to tell you 7 random things about myself. Hmmmm, I think I live my life like an open book, so I'm pretty sure you all know all of this, but here it goes anyway:
1. I was a VERY rebellious teenager! I am a stubborn person and I don't like being told what to do. The more my mom tightened the rope, the more I rebelled. Funny, when I moved out at 17, I totally mellowed out and got my life in order!
2. My first car was a 1981 Honda Accord that I purchased for $500 from my best friend Karen Nugent- I drove that car until 1995- I LOVED that car despite the fact that the rear light was being held to the car by duct-tape (yes, the trunk filled with water on rainy days)
3. I am a terrible reader/writer. I can only dream of being someone who can eloquently express herself. My parents were immigrants (and spoke only Spanish to us until we started kinder) and never really stressed the importance of reading...I have a very strict policy of reading for my kiddos...I want them to be great readers and writers!
4. I hate going out of the house with out make-up on. Yes, I do it quite often these days...but there was a time when you wouldn't see me without at least lipstick and mascara!
5. I am insecure. Although I am outgoing, I often feel like I don't have a place. I pray a lot about this and know I shouldn't be so insecure, but I am!
6. I had a 9 pound baby in under an hour with no epideaural....Yes, my Curly came fast and he was big...but it was all worth it and I did again, naturally, with Cupcake!
7. I love my friends! I have friends from all stages of my life and always make an effort to keep up with them! They are all special to me and I don't ever want to let any of them down!

Funny thing is I knew about 5 of those things about you already. I remember that car and yes, it did in fact fill with water when it rained. I also remember all the good memories we had in it. I was touched when I read that like me you often battle with feeling insecure- it happens to the best of extroverts! I am proud to call you friend from one of the most fun times in my life. OK, good bits of info to know about my your cyber-friend (from yet another walk of life, eh?) I'll think about these...I'm not very good at them...

I totally relate to # 3&4. Could it be a Colombian thing? Big Kudos for #6. As for #5, never feel that way cuz you are a fun person to be around! :)
