What an amazing boy I have

JT was given a very special award at school today. Since my kids are fortunate enough to be in private school, they are given awards based on biblical characteristics and Christ-like behavior.   1 child from each class is chosen by their teacher as a the recepient of the  Christian Citizenship award and my boy was chosen.  This mama had tears in her eyes.  His teacher, Mrs. C, said the following when she had to present the award:

Proverbs 20:11 "The character of even a child can be known by the way he acts- whether what he does is pure and right"

This person (my JT) shows Christ-like characteristics in the classroom and on the playground in the following ways:

  • They always do what is asked of them with a great attitude, never complaining

  • This person knows what Jesus would expect them to do and they do their best to follow Him wihtout being rewarded

  • They are known to make good choices and are an excellent example to other students.

  • And, they have a good reputation with the other students in the classroom and are recognized as having incredibly sweet behavior

  • As the verse says, it is evident that this person wants to be known by the way they act.

My choice for the Christian Citizenship Award is JT

We are so proud of our boy - whether he got this award or not, we are proud of the choices he makes and the wonderful young boy he is becoming!  We love you, JT

He's not even my boy and I am all teared up! I love hearing about sweet boys. I've got one myself and am glad he is growing up in a house where kindness is priority.

Congrats on being a great mom... that award is yours too!
