Life is a race...run it!

Okay, so we got back from Boston last week to a crazy week of baseball - literally CRAZY!  We got home Tues. - went straight to JT's game...Wed. Curly had a game, Thursday JT had practice (where I decided to go on a run with Curly and K in the jogger - bad idea since Curly weighs 41 lbs. and K weighs 31 lbs. - add those together with the weight of the stroller - NOT FUN) and then they both had games on Saturday.  JT and J went to watch UCLA scrimmage at the Rose Bowl Saturday night and then Sunday morning JT woke up at 4 am with a fever and was diagnosed with Strep throat today!  I know I should be bummed, but I am trying to have a more "life is half full" outlook.  So, I've decided that I need to give myself a metaphor that will help me be more positive...so I need to remind myself that Life is a race - I can either run it and enjoy all the sights along the way or I can jog it complaining along the way!  I think about my Surf City Half Marathon in February - that was probably the worst conditions I have ever run in, but I ran and I ran and I ran and I finished strong.  I want to run this race with a positive attitude!

In the midst of my daily race of life - I need to get my butt into gear - I am training for the Mudd Run on 6/7 - which I think is going to be a blast!  I also just registered for the Big Sur Half Marathon on 11/9 in Monteray Bay - anyone out there interested in joining me?  Check out the race - I think it's going to be a beautiful one....

i like the way you think. this makes me happy and it's one of the many reasons i am so glad we're friends. thanks for striving to be a "glass half full" person. i like the imagery. i'm going to to try it on one of my more trying days:).
