Shabbat with the D Family....

So, we had the D family over for Shabbat last night.  It was a great evening of friendship and fellowship.  I didn't get around to making my own challah (but, I promise I will) and I didn't say the blessing over the candles, wine or bread, but Mar did and it was great (another thing I promise to do eventually).  I must say that I love that tradition and really want to make a conscious effort to do that with my own family.  Although I am not Jewish, I find it so important to teach my children the beautiful ritual that my Lord and Savior participated in while he walked the earth.  So, thank you D family for your influence in teaching my family something that is so very special!

You are so welcome! It is special for us when people see the beauty and importance of the Jewish tradition in our faith. We had a great time and can't wait to do it again! :) Dinner was so yummy too!
