On Wed. November 6, 2002, I woke up at 7 am. J and I talked through out the morning about how our baby (not knowing if it was a boy or a girl) needed to arrive soon. My due date was 11/3/02 and I was a bit anxious about having another baby. I grieved the loss of having it just be me and my JT, but was excited about adding to the family.
I got into the shower at 7:45 a.m. and when I got out, we called my in-laws asking if they could come over to watch JT, we made a decision that we were going to go to the doctor's office and see if he could help me progress along (maybe do some stuff to move my dilation along - I was at 1 cm for 2 weeks). At 8 a.m. I felt the need to push and I was in a ton of pain at this point....yes only 15 minutes had passed since I made the decision to go see the doc. J's parents arrived at approx. 8:15 to watch JT....we got into our blue suburban and headed down the 241 toll road to Irvine Regional Hospital - we passed the toll at 8:23 a.m. When we arrived at the hospital, we left the car in the turn-about and headed up to the 2nd floor, when I walked in I told them I was in a serious amount of pain and didn't think I could take much more of it.....well, the Nurse said the baby was crowning and I had to wait for the Doc to come before I could push.....well, a 9 lb., 21 inches long baby boy arrived at 8:42 a.m. - no pictures or movies of his birth....we didn't expect that our baby would come so quick! And, what a joy, the Lord blessed us with another boy! We named him N after my grandfather and father. We were so thrilled to have another boy! It was an amazing day that I will NEVER forget! The photo below was taken just a few minutes after he was born - daddy had to run down and move the car and grab the camera. JT then arrived shortly after to sing "Jesus loves me" to his new baby brother - another moment I will never forget!

Today was a great day celebrating my son's 5th birthday. We got up this morning and headed to the Big D - it was a ton of fun! I can't believe how time has flown by! He is getting so big. The joy he brings to our lives everyday is a constant reminder that children truly are a gift from the Lord and they are to be cherished each and every day! What an awesome gift to be able to parent this little person! We can't imagine our life with out him!
Happy 5th Birthday my baby boy!
