Hoarding.....

So today I went to Costco and bought a case of Propel Fitness Water. It has 3 flavors - one of which is Lemon and is my favorite. As I was putting them in the fridge in the garage, I realized that there was a pattern to my storing...I was storing the Lemon behind the other 2 flavors that come with it. I cought myself doing it, but didn't stop. I realized at that moment that I was hoarding the Lemon flavor. Had I become what I swore I would never do as a mother? I quickly ran to the computer (becasue let's face it, why not look up on Webster's online rather than digging the dictionary out) and looked up the definition of hoard and here is what I came up with:
hoard /hɔrd, hoʊrd/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[hawrd, hohrd] Pronunciation Key - –noun 1.a supply or accumulation that is hidden or carefully guarded for preservation, future use, etc.: a vast hoard of silver. –verb (used with object) 2.to accumulate for preservation, future use, etc., in a hidden or carefully guarded place: to hoard food during a shortage. –verb (used without object) 3.to accumulate money, food, or the like, in a hidden or carefully guarded place for preservation, future use, etc.

So, here is my question to you.....do you have anything that you must hoard? If so, please share with me.....

That's what I thought too...I am the mom and I should be selfless....maybe that's why I was doing it with out even thinking! Of course, I would never get mad if they actually drank the lemon...just would rather them drink the others first! hee-hee

I second the thin mints....in fact I have some hidden in my closet right now. Don't tell Eric :)

I'm cracking up, Michelle.

Wait, Michelle, you don't keep them in the freezer? Couldn't you hide them behind some frozen peas or something?

If I left them in the freezer, Eric would look behind the peas for Thrifty Chocolate
Chip ice cream I usually hide there and find the cookies :)

If I remember well, back in the 80's when I had 5 children and could not afford too much I would buy a few thinks for me and would loose them if I did not hide them. I don't remember what, but I would go with out if I left them in the kitchen. And it wasn't much of any thing. I give any thing to go back and share those items with my babies, but come to think back. They found them most of the time and I would end up with nothing. Ha ha ha... those were the days.
