Riley's Farm - Oak Glen Field Trip

I am so blessed that I was able to join my son on his first 1st grade field trip today! It was a wonderful day! I had a minivan full of kids - 2 boys and 3 girls! We went to Riley's Farm (a real working farm) and we learned a ton about apples (it takes 100 apples to make a gallon of apple cider), we picked apples, we ate apple cobbler and some of the kids helped make an apple pie. We also came home with a 5 lb. apple pie to share with the family! The kids ran around and played and we ate lunch on blankets and enjoyed the beautiful scenery! What a great day! We ended the day with a wash from the water well... It was a fabulous day!
